Throughout the summer term, teachers and parents are often looking for fun and interactive ways to teach children how to be safe in the sun. To help achieve this, we run an annual SunSmart campaign in partnership with skincare brand Clarins.

The scheme encourages schools and nurseries across Northern Ireland to hold a Hats and Shades Day throughout the summer term, giving pupils the chance to wear their favourite hats and sunglasses for the day, while parents kindly make a donation to NICFC.

Each participating school will receive an event pack including:

• Posters to promote Hats and Shades Day
• Letter for parents
• SunSmart bookmark
• Crayons
• Worksheet
• Donation form
