Every week in Northern Ireland, three children, teenagers or young adults are diagnosed with cancer. By volunteering your time and energy you can help us to deliver our services to these families.

There are lots of ways to volunteer, whether you can spare an occasional hour or a few days a week, we would love to have your help.

We are currently looking for people to volunteer in street collections for NICFC. If you feel you can spare an hour, we would love to have you!

Friday 25^th May – Belfast City Hall

Saturday 2^nd June – Holywood Town Centre

TESCO BUCKET COLLECTION – Saturday 5th May 2012

NICFC have been given the opportunity to hold bucket collection in 36 Tesco stores around Northern Ireland. We are currently looking for Volunteer Coordinators who will agree to look after a Tesco store in their local area. If you feel you would be able to help, please contact Naomi for an informal chat 028 9080 5599.

In the office

Tasks you can assist us with:

• Join our Administrative Team for a day, tasks could include everyday jobs such as answering the phone/helping to prepare mailouts.
• Lend a hand to the Finance Team and help keep our cash flowing by counting money.

The Fundraising hub

We are always looking for volunteers to help out in fundraising, you could:

• Represent us at events and accept donations on our behalf
• Join a support group in your area
• Become an NICFC Fundraising Supporter, either on your own, or with others
• Volunteer at an NICFC event
• Collect charity boxes in your area

Help in the delivery of Services

Our services are at the heart of what we do and we provide opportunities to volunteer with our Family and Youth Programmes:

• Get involved in one of the many Youth and Family Programme activities – these take place at Shimna Valley, Newcastle and across the province.
• Behind-the-scenes – would you prefer assisting with general house-keeping duties at Shimna Valley Village and Narnia?
• Maybe you could spare a day to help out in the Services Department; we’re always in need of extra admin support.
