Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children’s Shimna Valley Complex has received the top accolade in food hygiene from the Foods Standards Agency – a 5 star rating! As part of the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, environmental health officers visited Shimna and awarded top marks on cleanliness, food preparation, health and safety, and good practice.
Commenting on the award NICFC’s Shimna Valley Complex Manager Patricia Kidd said, “We are delighted to receive a 5 Star rating and look forwarding to displaying our Award Certificate. Families coming to Shimna Valley for a much-needed break will know that the utmost care and attention is taken to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.”
Anyone who has been to Shimna will certainly testify to this. Congratulations to Patricia and her team who thoroughly deserve the top rating!
