I am WO-Man, hear me roar!

Forget Sporty, Ginger, Scary, Posh and Baby – girl power hit new levels on Saturday 24th September. Forty-two adventurous ladies came together at Belvoir Park Forest with two goals; firstly to raise vital funds for children and young people living with cancer throughout Northern Ireland, and secondly, to battle it out for the title of Miss Adventure 2011.

These fabulous females were shooting stars… literally! They put their skills to the test aiming for the bulls-eye in archery, bringing back 80s glamour by rockin’ out to songs whilst space hopping and tackling the giant inflatable obstacle course. They showed their strength taming the rodeo bull and wrestling the rapids of the River Lagan in their canoes. There were a few wrong turns during the orienteering but everyone made it to the finish line!

After a fiercely fought competition Andrea Harrower from Bike Dock Belles was crowned NICFC’s Miss Adventure 2011! Congratulations to Andrea and all the amazing ladies, and a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event. A fantastic £1,300 has been raised so far with more coming in. Thanks so much for making it such a great day!
