Faith Lucas EUROSPAR Armagh Store Supervisor, Amanda Steele Regional Fundraiser and Corry Oliver Store Manager get their shop on for the NICFC!
Local retail groups ViVOXTRA and EUROSPAR have teamed up with Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children to announce an exciting new charity partnership which will support the Family Programme throughout 2011 and 2013.
All twenty-three ViVOXTRA and EUROSPAR stores across Northern Ireland will work together to raise £50,000 to support children, teenagers and young adults living with cancer and their families. The money will be raised through a mix of staff fundraising, in-store collection points, customer events and in-store family fun days.
Paddy Doody from Henderson Group said:
“We are delighted to announce the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children, as official charity for our EUROSPAR and ViVOXTRA stores. We have been astounded by the amazing work this charity does for hundreds of families across Northern Ireland, giving vital support and respite. As community-based retailers, we feel it is essential to raise much-needed funds for the charity, in order to help them continue carrying out this amazing work. Like the charity, we want to make a real difference and our stores will be encouraging staff and customers to get involved in order to reach our £50,000 target.”
Alistair McNeill and Sandra Curry from ViVOXTRA Broughshane with Victoria Graham NICFC Regional Fundraiser for Co. Antrim celebrate the launch of the stores charity partnership.
Joanne Steele, Fundraising Manager for NICFC added
“It gives me great pleasure to welcome ViVOXTRA and EUROSPAR on board as NICFC’s newest charity partners and I look forward to working with staff and customers from all of their stores as they achieve their £50,000 target. This money will allow us to continue delivering essential support services to our families, including our vital Road Miles, Home Heating and Travel for Treatment grants, our Family Support Service and respite breaks at Shimna Valley and Pine and Birch Cottages.”
