Omagh Truckers’ Night Out a huge success – £1,300 raised

The ‘Truckers Night Out’, was organised by Catherine Logue and her eight year old son Matthew, after they had learnt that a daughter of a family friend was diagnosed with leukaemia. The event featured musicians, a bouncy castle and a barbecue and had truck drivers from as far as Belfast travelling to the venue to have fun while raising vital funds for NICFC!truckers night out

Catherine commented: “I’m so grateful to the large number of truckers who made it to the event and show their support for NICFC. I loved doing the event and I will look again at doing something next year as this is just such a worthy cause and I know the Sutherland family who came down on the night really enjoyed it too!

Despite the grey skies and rain, nothing could dampen the spirits of the hardy folks who gathered at the Omagh Agricultural Mart on Saturday 13th August for this special evening event, which raised a fantastic £1,300 for NICFC.

Regional Fundraiser for Co.Tyrone Ruth Hobson said: “On behalf of the charity I would like to send out a big thank you to all the local suppliers who sponsored the event, to everyone who attended and a special thank you to Catherine Logue and her son Matthew for organising a wonderful evening and raising such a great amount for NICFC!
