NICFC Chief Executive Shortlisted for Women in Business Award!
Gillian Creevy, Chief Executive of Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children has reached the final of the Women in Business NI Award for Outstanding Leadership and Management.
This award recognises the leader or manager who has demonstrated exceptional vision and leadership in business. In an extremely competitive category we are delighted that Gillian has reached the final four.
As the only charity to reach the finals of the Women in Business NI Award this achievement recognises Gillian’s passion, energy and determination to deliver the NICFC’s objectives, but also the hard work and commitment of NICFC’s staff and supporters – to meet the needs of local children, teenagers and young adults living with cancer.
Rhonda Gibson, Northern Bank’s External Relationship Manager, who worked closely with Gillian on Northern Bank’s three year charity partnership with NICFC, says of working with her,
“Gillian Creevy’s enthusiasm is matched entirely by her ability to get things done. Her formidable business skills and vision drive forward the work of NICFC with forthright ambition on behalf of all of the many families supported by this local charity. In the midst of her drive and determination, Gillian manages to balance the needs of a corporate partner with the very personal service provided to those families for whom NICFC is an invaluable support.”
“Gillian worked hard with her team to turn our initial commitment into something even more substantial – never losing sight of the potential of this partnership to achieve something really amazing. Raising almost £500k for NICFC over 3 years of partnership, Northern Bank and its staff were encouraged by the aspirations of this inspirational CEO. Gillian has had us in tears many times – sometimes with laughter, but more often because she speaks with such genuine feeling and conviction about the work that she does and the families and children it has been her privilege to know and support. It was therefore our privilege to share those efforts and ambitions for our three years of corporate partnership.”
We look forward to hearing whether Gillian takes the title at a Gala event in the Ramada Plaza Belfast on Thursday 17th November 2011.
