Schrader Electronics ignites new charity partnership

Schrader Electronics Ltd has launched a new partnership with two local cancer charities – Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC) and the Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF).

Staff from the engineering company, which is based at Antrim and Carrickfergus, will be raising funds for the two charities through a variety of exciting and creative activities over the next year.

Adrian Hughes, Charity Committee Chair at Schrader Electronics Ltd, said, “We are really looking forward to working with these two great charities, and our staff are very enthusiastic about getting involved in fundraising activities over the next 12 months.

“The staff chose to support UCF and NICFC because they are two local charities which work tirelessly to support Northern Ireland people affected by cancer. We want to help ensure that as many patients and families as possible benefit from the excellent services offered by them both.”

Sorcha Chipperfield, Corporate Fundraiser for NICFC, said, “NICFC’s services include
qualified Family and Youth Programmes, helping the family to build a coping
strategy in the home and on the hospital ward, financial support such as Home
Heating and Road Miles grants and residential weekends for young people, among others.

All the money raised through the partnership will be used to support families across Northern Ireland who are affected by cancer.  We are incredibly grateful to Schrader Electronic employees for their support.”
