Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children (NICFC) is the leading, local cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Established in 1973, NICFC has 40 years’ experience in the field of cancer support for children and families.
Every week in Northern Ireland, another three children, teenagers or young adults, aged between 0-24 years old, are diagnosed with cancer. NICFC understands the devastating impact a cancer diagnosis and treatment can have on the whole family and that beyond the essential clinical care there is a family life that needs to be rebuilt.
NICFC provides practical, financial and emotional support to in the family home, in the community and on the hospital ward. Our team of experienced Specialists help families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives, and they support them through life, both during and after treatment, and sadly in some cases, bereavement.
The children and families we support are at the heart of everything we do and throughout our website you’ll get to meet some of them and hear more about their experiences.
We are a registered charity and recieve less than 0.3% of our income from government funding. Therefore we rely on donations and volunteers in order to continue to deliver our support services throughout Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children is a Company Limited by Guarantee and registered in Northern Ireland. Registration Number NI049930 and Inland Revenue No XR29768.
